The producing process allows to obtain various designs of parts weighing from a few grams to several tons, with a length up to 10 meters and a wall thickness of 0.5-500 mm. Items are made of ferrous alloys (iron and steel) and non-ferrous alloys (aluminum, magnesium, copper, zinc, titanium, etc). Casting is most often used for making complex shapes that would be otherwise difficult or uneconomical to make by other methods. Metal casting is one of the most common casting processes. Metal patterns are more expensive but are more dimensionally stable and durable. Casting is typically used to create intricate solid shapes, and cast products are found in a wide range of applications, including automotive components, aerospace parts, electronics, mechanical devices, and construction supplies.
